This is a savvy way to have individuals investing in solar energy in cities.

Dutchman named Sven Plutt just sent me an email about his new solar company, which he was nice enough to say was somewhat inspired by What Would Google Do? Really interesting idea: a solar panel network.
Here’s how it works: I live in the middle of an apartment building so I can’t have solar energy. I pay Sven to buy a panel he installs on, say, a big stadium. I get ongoing benefit of feeding the grid — cash in the bank or discounts on my electric bill. He gets the capital to build solar installations. He partners with a power company that also likes the capital injection. The big building owner gets a new revenue stream. And more people participate in solar.
Hot.
