I bought Super Mario 3D World when it came out last week. It has been such a satisfying experience! Nintendo has created the perfect balance of all the best things from previous Mario games. The level design is fresh, the gameplay is familiar and surprising in balance and the joyful whimsy of this game plasters a grin on my face. This is the game Nintendo has been working toward since its first video game; this is as close to a perfect platformer as I’ve ever seen. This is a game that cements Nintendo as the best game publisher in the world.
