“Tongtong’s Summer”, written by Xia Jia and translated by Ken Liu, was the last Clarkesworld Magazine podcast from December and my favourite of the month. It’s a wonderful exploration about how technology, especially telerobotics, can improve how we interact with each other and enhance our lives as we age. It’s a touching account of elderly people being given greater autonomy and abilities to contribute to society through technology.
