This week Liberals and Conservatives in the Canadian Senate blocked a bill that passed in the House of Commons that would ensure equal rights for transgender people. This is a clear reason why we can not trust the Senate nor the parties those senators represent. It’s time to abolish the Senate and ensure we never again elect parties that refuse to stand firmly on the side of equal rights.
