It might be easy at first to dismiss Spider-Man Unlimited as just another free-to-play endless runner, but it holds up a lot longer than most games in the category. Taking queues from the Spider-Verse event in the comics, the game follows a multiversal story that brings together a huge number of alternative Spider-folk that include 616 Peter Parker, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, Ben Reilley, Mary Jane Watson, Jessica Drew, Future Foundation Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 and Anya Corazon. Those characters kept me coming back as a long-term reader of Spider-books. The gameplay is somewhat typical of an endless runner, with web-swinging and boss fights against each of the Sinister Six.
