Eleven issues in, Silk (http://marvel.com/comics/series/20499/silk_2015_-_present) is established as one of the strongest parts of the Spider-Man orbit of the Marvel universe. It has ties to Spider-Man and beyond, but it isn’t hindered by that. The series is fun, accessible and fresh.

Bill Bagworth that’s about the best way to explain how Silk has spinnerets out of her fingertips instead of making them a la webshooters like Spider-Man. Every other answer would be convoluted & make no logical sense. Then again it’s comic books & they don’t have to follow either.
