Blessed of The Traveler

Blessed of The Traveler: Queer Gender Identity in Eberron is a guide for including transgender characters in my favourite Dungeons & Dragons setting, Eberron. Eberron mashes up pulp, noir and fantasy and reimagined a lot of the tropes and assumptions present in D&D. It’s a great world to explore many topics and gender can certainly be part of that.

This short document offers options for how gender, and in particular transgender characters, can be explored through different cultures in the world of Eberron. It’s sensitive enough to note were canon may need to be changed to accommodate more supportive play but fits well with most of what has been written in official works.

If you are inclined to include transgender characters in your games, whether for player or non-player roles, this document offers some good grounding and guidance.

Blessed of The Traveler is a guide to incorporating transgender characters and stories into the Eberron setting for Dungeons & Dragons, with looks at how several cultures and faiths approach gender, as well as a look at magical transition methods! It includes a lengthy list of sample NPCs for use with the Sharn setting in the Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberron.
