Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!

Back in 1986, an anime film based on Super Mario Bros. was released by Grouper Productions and Nintendo. Super Mario Bros.: Peach-Hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen! didn’t ever receive a release outside Japan but earlier this year a 4K restoration with English subtitles was released on YouTube. The film was made before Mario’s visuals and lore were fleshed out, so it’s jarring at times, but it’s a fun experience.
