Fred Cabredo’s Hiraya: a tigress, a paper, and a prologue is a short, surreal fantasy story that seems to set up a larger comic project. The art is evocative and has some impressive colouring. Cabredo clearly draws inspiration from Moebius but has a surprisingly fresh style. I hope the bigger project will be published before long.

Before the events of Hiraya, there was an old tigress living in the confines of an abandoned library. On a boring moonlit night, a seemingly mundane act will alter the history of the Known World
