It has been a quieter week for me on the fediverse with a lot of my attention directed elsewhere, but as always there were some gems.

Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi’s long term storytelling was what brought me back to wrestling after not watching for years. Learning about The Golden Lovers and the stories surrounding them made me love the artform and appreciate it in new ways. This week the two will finally be in the ring together for the first time since I started watching. If you are in the dark about their beautiful story, this video is a great primer.
Celestine and I are at a playground and found a D&D book in the little library on the way here. Deception was afoot, though, as a misleading dust jacket hid the true D&D book inside.
When All About Android wrapped up its decade plus run I was sad to lose the weekly experience of getting the latest about Android. I was thrilled to see @ronxo and @queencodemonkey have launched a new show, Android Faithful, with guest @MishaalRahman joining for the first two episodes.
AEW’s Blood and Guts was all the spectacle it should have been. The power of friendship, cohesion, and violence triumphing over hatred, disorder, and violence was a nice touch. Seeing Kota Ibushi in a ring with Kenny Omega and the rest of the Golden Elite was great to experience for the first time watching in real time. So many great matches and stories can spin out from here.
Celestine’s daycare was closed this week so we tried to have daily little adventures, even on rainy days like today. Monday and Tuesday Tonet and I took Celestine to the sportsplex across the bridge to swim. Wednesday we went to a build and play event at the library. Thursday Celestine and I visited the Halifax waterfront, took the Woodside ferry across the harbour, then walked to the other Dartmouth ferry terminal and headed back to Halifax by ferry again, taking in some murals in each spot. Today we visited Long Lake and later Celestine had her first arcade experience, leaving with an armful of prizes from crane games and trading in tickets.
I was happy to see Molly Margaret’s new mural with a giant woman with a body as land and hair as water, and Kristen De Palma’s Go With The Flow mural at the waterfront Thursday.
