I took Celestine to the oval to use a scooter this morning. She didn’t have the stamina for many laps, but she enjoyed meeting some new friends.

My favourite doughnut shop, Vandal Doughnuts, closed nearly a year ago, but recently merged with its rival, Fortune Doughnuts, and opened up a new Vandal Doughnuts spot a few blocks from me this past weekend. Yesterday Tonet brought home these two vegan doughnuts that were delicious, soft, super dense, and exactly what I wanted in a doughnut.

Celestine and I are starting our day at the library. She’s having a snack and I’m having espresso. The view here on the top floor is hampered by some fog, but this painting of a fountain in the Public Gardens by Susan Tooke brightens up an otherwise grey morning.
