Like I honestly try to see where he is coming from, but when he rants like he did Oscar night, I just can’t find it in me to respect the guy. Plus reading his website makes him sound really arrogant IMO. I try to stay really neutral on political subjects, but it seems to me that Moore is just blatantly closing his ears to anything he doesn’t want to hear, much like others on the opposite political party as him do. I can’t come to an opinion about the things he does because I don’t have enough information about these things. And sometimes I don’t think even he does, because I don’t think anyone does. I love America for all the freedoms she brings us, so I can’t sit here and dictate the way he should think, or you or anyone. I think when people procalim their “pro-peace” it’s sort of like saying everyone else is not. Which is untrue. Of course there are “anti-peace” people in the world, but most people are all pro-peace and against wars. I think those who support military action are saying “I don’t want a war, but I think there is purpose to take action.” Because I honestly believe, that even Bush is opposed to war, but felt it was necissary for whatever reasons he gave us. I can’t change the world around me, but I respect those who think they can. And for that purpose I’m not going to say if I’m for or against anything I can’t alter. Anyways, after that tangent I just have to say that it would be interesting to see what would happen if the academy actually took away his award.
