Order of Tales

For a few years I’ve been reading a page or two of Evan Dahm’s fantasy webcomic Order of Tales each day. It has a simple, stylized art style that makes for a kinetic read when taken in as a whole. I wouldn’t say my languid approach to getting through it is ideal, but I do think I was able to appreciate it better by having it part of my routine for so long.

For a few years I’ve been reading a page or two of Evan Dahm’s fantasy webcomic Order of Tales each day (I use Comic Rocket and IFTTT to get some webcomics in my inbox). The comic is available online, as an ebook and in print.

Order of Tales is an adventure story that follows Teller Koark, the last member of a society of storytellers, as he becomes involved in a complex plot dealing with secrets lost in the history of Overside. It is set in the third century of the Red Age. It was started in July 2008, and was finished in July 2010.

  1. I read the webcomic Rice Boy a page or two a day using Comic Rocket over the past year, like I did with Evan Dahm’s Order of Tales. It was rewarding to have the story part of my routine. It’s a comic that is much richer than its heavily stylized appearance might first suggest, and it’s a fun adventure to experience.
