So much has been happening on and off the fediverse that it can be tough to keep up with it, but I enjoy trying.

My work hosted a summer event at Shubie Park this afternoon and we had a great time. After a meal we went down the canal in a canoe, spotting ducks, tadpoles, and squirrels. Later Tonet and Celestine stayed at the beach at the lake while I went out on a standup paddle board for an hour. It was a wholly relaxing experience.
Today’s new episode of Podcastle is a reading of “Godzilla as a Young Man Named Mike” by E. M. Faulds. It’s the closing story if their Disability Pride & Magic Month series and is a defiant and heartbreaking story pushing back on ableist policies stripping away supports and rights.
We were a bit early to the library this morning so Celestine wanted to stop at Vandal for donuts. I got the vegan blue Marge and she got the pink Homer.
Celestine is taking part in a library reading program this summer and reached the midpoint with 50/100 books read or learning experiences done. She was happy to receive this sloth keychain as her reward from the library.
