Today was quite long… I got up, grabbed a quyick breakfast, had a shower and then my father asked me to help him with some yard work. 4 hours later I finished that 😛 I dislike when my parents decide to surprise me with labour like that. Especially considering I do similar work ALL WEEK! But, of course they are providing me with a place to live, food and an education, so I can’t complain too much. After that I had time to wash up and then we went to the family bbq. It was nice to see my relatives again. My family is really great, honestly… And my cousin Hailey is the most adorable baby alive. Her dancing, icecream and swinging antics were far too cute. 😛 I met a cousin that I hadn’t seen for 17 years for the first time, and her two kids… that was unusual, since I know most of my father’s side of the family well, yet here was someone I didn’t recall ever hearing about and we were having a bbq for her… I hadn’t been to Lemmon Hill since one of the last anniversay parites… yeah, my family makes any excuse to get together and eat loads of food 😉 I actually shot some basketball for the first time in over a year today on the court there… I really need to practice again, I’m really very rusty. Talking to my cousin Clara May was cool. I need to make a bigger effort to hang out with her and my other cousin Marsha more since we all live in the city and Clara May goes to Dal… lol I’ll join them on their bar hopping or something. 😛 As nice as family is, it can also give you extra work… Sharon and Gerry want me to help them set up their e-mail and Monday night my aunt Lucy wants me to help her do work on her lawn. Not that I mind this, though. I’m always willing to help Lucy since she’s always been good to me and also since her husband Larry is in a wheel chair and can’t do it himself. That’s one nice thing about my family, no matter what happens we all know we can count on the others to be there. Even all the jobs I’ve ever had are because of family connections. lol Ilea still is annoyed that I’m always offered jobs whe she has only babysitting. But I do work a lot harder than she does, honestly. I might even be able to sit for Hailey some in the next month or so… that’d be nice since I haven’t seen her much since Christmas… lol yeah, kids are great.
