Where were the perfect marks this year?

Looking at all my old tests and assignments from high school has made me wonder how I could not get those 90’s and 100’s that I used to… All these old notes and other school stuff seems so simple and uninteresting now. The only class I wish I’d paid more attention in is English. My grammar could certainly be improved, as this very entry shows(not that I’m trying hard at all, mind you). It’s positive to do this exercise a year later than I intended, I think. Just going through the papers and getting rid of them at last is a good way to remember all of those times and remind me just how damn smart I can be ;). Looking at old French papers make me wish I’d continued to take it past grade 10. I’ve never liked the language all that much but knowing it would be nice anyway. Oh, my art work was really horrible. I wish I had even a shred of talent at that… Maybe if I hadn’t given up drawing comics every day after elementary school I may have developed it… who knows?
I used to write down quotes I heard rather randomly. On the radio one of the DJ’s said, “The more I hear these guys the more I like them” about Collective Soul… Think I’m obsessed with this band now? Back then it was CS all the time.
I was just reading responses to some writing I did in a English class in grade 11… Mr. Watson was the teacher at the time and he was really cool… Listened to the same music as Sascha and I and actually talked to us more as peers than students… I’ll quote some of the things he wrote since I find them interesting and want to save them somehow since I’ll be recycling the papers(I love the environment, and so should you!).
A very interesting and thought provoking response! You are a deep, philosophical thinker. This, in my opinion, is another thing society in general lacks, people who want to know “why” as often as possible – to a paper on what is the biggest issue facing our generation… basicly saying what we lack is a common ground and a shared form of medium which has depth and connects us.
I agree wholeheartedly with you here! I am a sports fanatic and have watched in amazement. – to a paper on my favorite celebrity at the time, Michael Jordan.
As you already know, I am a major music fan and am a follower of bands such as ZZ Top and Collective Soul. Although I have never seen them in concert, I am looking forward to the opportunity to some day see them. – to a paper on my summer vacations and the concerts I have seen during them.
You may like to note that I received 100% on all of those. πŸ˜›
A quote only I will understand: A tale that took root in my mind two days after the great Defenbaker scratching.
I just found the very first paper that I wrote about the novel I plan to write eventually, where I first cam up with Frozen Truth. Those pages will be saved, for sure. πŸ˜€
That’s enough for one post πŸ™‚
