Clouds Falling

Clouds Falling

Grey dome of static floating
Above the towers of ice
Falling down in slow motion
Descending to cover me

Drops of clear uncertainties
Speed to the asphalt and I
Shattering once they touch us
Solid, cold, burned and useless

Coated by the sticking soot
Clawing downward to smother
To consume and claim nothing
To make nothing and leave void

Changes of mind by whispers
Understood at last through words
Cast upon leaves to protect
To warn and guard a lost soul

Fortified by memories
Cloaked in the leaves I held close
Thoughts over distance connect
Lightning of the soul repels

Forging a strong, thin armour
To block the hate, dispel fear
Deny greed, dull hurt, feel true
Feed the thread, hold it tightly

No way to attack the grey
Only defence against it
And to keep it far away
From the truth within your words

Walking cool, dry, hopeful, real
Willing to learn of the truth
Wanting to fight the grey lies
With your words I search the world
