Cornflakes and Dancing

I’m eating my cornflakes and listening to this beautiful song, letting thoughts slide around. …”Nothing left but a cracking voice and a song of love”…
I’ll be meeting Terry Brooks in about 10 hours. It’s still so amazing that I’ll be meeting one of the people I’ve admired so greatly since I was 12… He’s sold millions of books and is one of the biggest influences on the fantasy genre after Tolkien… And I’ll be inches from him. WOW! It’s still hard to believe… I wonder how I’ll act of if I’ll be able to say anything. He’s practically a god for me.

My favorite series by Mr. Brooks is the Word and Void series, which is set in modern US, in Hopewell, Illinois and Seatle, Washington… It’s an interesting look at Good and Evil that is increasingly relavent with the evils in control of the the world as it is.

This morning my father e-mailed me saying it would be fine for me to go home for the long weekend and that they’ll be coming into the city Saturday night to go to my cousin Marsha’s new house for a house warming party… I might end up going with them to that. It would be nice to see my family again for a while since I haven’t seen most of them for 2 months.

Time to go to class…
