…open up these boxes, show me how to blend…

I’ve been back from my trip into the outside world for nearing an hour now. Since then I’ve been talking to Ashley some and I just started talking to Alisha(lecey).

After my last entry I talked to Ashley for a few minutes before leaving to catch the bus. Standing there waiting for the bus was a nice reminder why I love being in a diverse nation like Canada. There were two men of middle eastern decent speaking in arabic(perhaps, I’m certainly no expert on language) and it was interesting to try to make sense of what they were saying while joking and talking. I need to learn more languages. I must make a point of that in the future.

Anyway, while on the bus Wanda called and we agreed to meet at Little Mysteries, the local pagan/bookstore/whatever shop here in Halifax. I arrived there before she and her friend Christina did so I browsed around for 10 or 15 minutes. I must say that I love that store! They have so many great items. Books, decorations, jewelery, meditation stuff, divinatory tools, stones, jewelery, clothing, posters, other decorations, candles, inscents, and tons of awesome things I would love to have for myself or give to my friends.
After I had looked at everything Wanda and Christina arrived and we looked around some more. Eventually their friend Pat arrived… He had a sorta odd vibe, I thought, and they confirmed it too. They had never met in person before but had talked to him for a year or so.
I ended up buying Charles de Lint’s new collection Tapping The Dream Tree in hardcover and a black leather pouch to keep little treasures in so I can carry them with me always… I believe a letter from Ashley, Poe’s bottle, some necklaces and a stone will be going into it soon. There was so much more that I would have liked to have gotten, especially some really nice stuff that I know Ashley would like. O:)

We made a longish trek up to a bar and grill called Gatsby’s(the namegave me not so pleasant reminders of The Great Gatsby, which I never enjoyed)… Had two cups of coffee there and some nachos while waiting for Wanda’s boyfriend Bryn to show up. I participated in the convos in my usual quiet manner.

After Bryn had arrived we all walked towards Strange Adventures(Christina and I both wanted to go look at the comics) but arrived to find it had closed, sadly. Then we footed it down to Tim Horton’s for more coffee. I grabbed a Canadian Maple doughnut as well. mmmm maple. After Pat left I felt a lot more at ease and participated in the convo more. I don’t know why, but I just didn’t feel comfortable around him. It was fun talking to Wanda, Bryn and Christina, they all seem like good people… we talked of politics, hair, world domination, and a slew of other things. It was really a nice time.

Around 8:15 I caught an 80 and came home to my humble dwelling.

  1. Sounds like a good day, Gatsby’s is a nice place, my friend’s uncle works there. And that book, I heard was horrible. However, I was subjected to ‘Lord Of The Flies’ instead, and in grade 11 ‘Great Expectations’. I’m still in shock.
