    1. DUDE, he’s fucking up the WORLD! And he is harming us all. Besides, I’m also a fan of justice and truth. I’ll push for it where ever I can.

And I do have many American friends who have been hurt by his policies and this war.

  1. well, actually, he’s just cleaning up a mess that should’ve been cleaned up 10 years ago, and any other president at this time would’ve done the same, not just him. you usually don’t see the effect or outcome of what a president does until a few years after their term, so maybe, just maybe could it be that he’s cleaning up someone else’s mess?

I’m not pro-war, because my brother is in the army, and was called off to active duty, so I am worried about him constantly, so no, I don’t want this anymore than anyone else, but it was going to happen sooner or later, and now I just want it to be finished so my brother can come home.

    1. ps. I didn’t vote for him. but since he IS the president of MY country, and I can’t do a think about it, I need to support him, because, well, that’s how it works. That’s meaning of patriotic.

        1. I’m not blindly following, I’m supporting, there is a difference.

at least I have something to be patriotic about, my country isn’t a fence sitting pacifist country.

          1. lmao

No, our country is being a democracy, one that believes in working as a world towards peaceful solutions to problems. Canada has supported many wars in the past(included the one in Afganistan, which I personally opposed) and is certainly not a pacifist nation. We do value peace over agression in our foreign policy though.

Canadians have much to be proud of, honestly. It has been the best place to live in countless ranking systems. We have one of the top 10 education systems in the world, one of the top 10 healthcare systems(and it’s for everyone, not just the wealthy), the fastest growing economy in the G8 nations, a history of great feats, and noble causes(Canadians are the main reason WWII was won, since we provided the most effieicent forces in that war), we have vast natural resources, a socially responsible government system, great artists, leaders in all fields(especially telecommunications and tech), no history of slavery, and few attrocities committed in our names…. I could go on, but I think I’ve defended my country enough.

I think the name calling such as “fence sitting pacifist country”, and the like is not of benefit to either you or your country. It only enforces the misconception most people in the world have, that Americans all act that way, in an arrogant and reckless manner. I know for a face most don’t and it’s certainly not pleasant to see the few times people do.

          2. oh, I didn’t specifically say canada was those things did I? nope, I just said I was glad I didn’t live one.

and I had a friend from canada that told me that you studied US history in HS for part of the year, because there wasn’t enough canadian history to fill up a full year. is that true? Or should I not believe what my canadian friend told me?

          3. “I had a friend from canada that told me that you studied US history in HS for part of the year, because there wasn’t enough canadian history to fill up a full year. is that true?”

Perhaps that person had a very poor teacher or school, but in my education experience there was a vast number of significant Canadian events that we covered over many years of Canadian and global history.

          4. I just think it’s silly that canadians are anti-americans, I can understand why some of the more un-educated countries don’t, but like you stated, your country is ranked top 10 in education.

For the most part, america has been good to canada.

          5. I don’t believe Canadians are anti-Americans at all!! I think most of us oppose the American government, but I know most Americans are good people and I have many great American friends.

Canada has also been good to America. It’s a very mutual relationship.

Without Canadian cooperation on 911 Americans would have been stuck on planes and unable to land. Ask any American who was on that planes that day about their reception and I’m sure they will only praise it. Canadians opened up their homes to Americans that day in compassion and helped greatly in relief.

It’s events like that which seem to be forgotten when it happens that we disagree with invading another country. We have been nothing but supportive, but we don’t want our people to die for a war at least 2/3 of Canadians(and a much larger proportion globally) feel is unjust.
