The Canadian currency advanced 0.62 cent to 68.79 cents US – its highest close since April 6, 2000 – as the International Monetary Fund warned of lingering risks to the world’s top economies, but cited Canada as a star performer.
The IMF foresees growth of 2.8 per cent in Canada this year, far outpacing the expansion expected in the other G-7 countries. The American dollar also lost ground against other currencies after the IMF cautioned against the superpower’s fiscal and current-account deficits.

That’s not so good for my ebay selling 😉 I’ll make less with a stronger dollar. Oh well, it’s a small price to pay for a growing economy.
