Rain

It is raining here too.

Giant drops streaming down this building’s sky-staring face. A too-grey sky and a too-grey thoughts without you. A coldness sits on the wind and hides the bridge of light that must surely link our skies.

I miss and long for those true-smiles you graced me with. If happiness has fled, must it not lie on those few paths between? The lines connecting eyes and lips, souls and bodies are alive still, though faint with distance. Distance is an echo of waiting while waiting continues in its endless and flat fields.

Each grain of sorrow and numbness will be warmly washed away. That memory holds beauty, and beauty it will uncover as it washes away the dust when at last our comfort returns. A salve for your tired and sore wings I’ll make. With deepest growing roots of love, leaf-kisses and powders of shared joys. On the swiftest wings again you’ll fly, with more grace than anything else divine could hope for. I’ll give you rest and healing, there are only days to walk through.
