Think media doesn’t lie? The weather report is pure proof.

I’m randomly reading some research my sister left here on the computer desk. Women’s Movements are certainly interesting and vital to understanding history and the future. And it’s still an uphill battle globally. Even in North America women still make %30 less than men on average, and sexism is far from dead.

“Many of the equal rights feminists were also leaders in the movement to abolish slavery.”

Under Saddam, women of Iraq had more rights than most of the Middle East because he was opposed to fundamentalism. Under the American occupation and eventual “democracy” it is likely they will be far worse off as religious fundamentalism returns.

Someday I must make a list of all the ist‘s and ian‘s I am. Here’s a sample:

Environmentalist
Feminist
Humanist
Egalitarian
Canadian

and on and on…

See Spot Run should have their new album ready to be released soon. I’m looking forward to hearing it.

Weather is a strange aspect of this world.

How many trees are killed for fliers? (I hate fliers and I love trees.)

    1. 🙂 Thanks. I don’t think my posts are anything special though…

The list is tricky though… I had to look up the meaning of some things, and the dictionary disagreed with my definitions. For instance, a spiritualist is someone who communicates with the dead, rather than someone who is spiritual.

      1. Yikes… Yeah, well in that case I guess it would be smart to look things up in the dictionary. It will expand your knowledge of vocabulary and help you learn more about yourself at the same time. I think it is such a good idea!
