After dinner I biked down to Lucy’s to join in on the first night of the Lemmon Family Reunion. As soon as I arrived my cousins Colton and Rachel ran up and wanted me to play some frisbee with them, which I consented to do. The years since I last used one must have helped improve my throwing, because I can now throw perfectly straight.
I spent some time looking after Hailey, my youngest cousin, who is growing up far to quickly. She’s a sweet girl and continuously came up to me and said, “Ok Apollo, now we go play that game again.”, meaning she wanted me to throw the frisbee for her to retreive.
After a while I biked home, and then returned after 8 when Ilea came home from work and my father from golfing. As a family we went back to Lucy’s to talk, listen to my relatives sing old songs, roast hot dogs and marshmellows and whatever other antics my family got into.
A good portion of my family were there tonight, and it was definitely nice to see so many had been able to show up for the first of 3 days that Lucy has planned.
Tomorrow at 5 pm Ashley will be arriving at the Halifax International Airport. I’m very excited to see her again, and a bit nervous to put a good first impression out there for her mother. I’m sure it will go well, and all I can think of is being able to be with Ashley again. Just 16 hours away. Wow.
That evening we will be returning to the reunion and Ashley will be able to meet almost all of my family in one night. I do hope they will be civil, but they are a crazy bunch.
Entries will be rather few for the next two weeks, but I will certainly be writing about my days, and I’ll try to keep up with all your lifes. Forgive me if I am unable to.
It’s time for sleep. Have a great weekend, everyone.
