What does it say when I have an Aqua song as one of my current favourites?
“Be A Man” from their debut album, Aquarium is definitely a guilty pleasure for me. It’s most likely the deepest song they did (not that they did a lot of deep songs, as they were a pop foursome), and one of those unlikely songs that touches you somehow.
On the topic of Aqua, I’m not sure what I think of the new music from Lene, the female vocalist for the group. It’s definitely a departure in image, though not so much sound. It seems she has become some sort of super pop sex symbol. “It’s Your Duty” is a rather annoying single, and I don’t know enough of the album, titled Play With Me, to make an overall call.

Yeah I think I had that CD too at one point. I had to buy 13 CDs or whatever from Columbia House Music, & that was my *last* choice. But yeah, I always liked “Turn Back Time” for their more “adult”-style singles. I think that single was also from the Gwenyth Paltrow movie ‘Sliding Doors’. *cringes* I know too much!

Re: Confessions
I actually got my copy from my sister, since she was about to throw it away.

Heh…well, Aqua would certainly be up there for disposables. But I will admit I was probably a fan at the time, along with the Spice Girls. *double cringe* I think Ginger was my favourite.
Re: Confessions
I was never into the Spice Girls, but Aqua hit a chord somehow… I still break out the album from time to time.

Yeah, for me I don’t know if it was the cillicone, the helium voice, or just sheer silliness, but they certainly caught my attention.
