Digital Napsack 014

It’s been a rather pleasant couple of days. Wednesday I walked to Video Difference to return Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Which was an enjoyable movie, though less impressive than I was lead to believe). I decided to look around for a film starring Tuesday Weld because of my recent renewed interest in her. After exploring the indie floor and the mainstream floor I descended into the basement and discovered the classic section. I searched for a short while and found the gem I had been hoping for, Lord Love A Duck, starring Tuesday Weld. I was thrilled to find it so easily, and of course had to count some change and rent it.

Barbara Ann (Weld): Everybody has got to love me. Everybody. This is my year. My horoscope says I am going to be famous. I am a Capricorn and I can’t miss. I deserve it, too. I’ve been good. I haven’t done bad things with boys. Well, a little. But not really bad. And only if I liked a boy.

Trivia about Lord Love A Duck: * Several appearances of a microphone dangling over actors’ heads were deliberate, intended as satire, but so confused audiences that they were trimmed out of later release prints.

When I left the video store I called April, because she had called while I was in Video Difference. She said she would be coming to visit, so I completed another errand and headed home. The evening progressed and eventually we decided to play a game of D&D with Ben as D.M. It was an amusing time. My elven cleric, Chime Sitari, was enjoyable to play because he had a rope.

April ended up spending the night on our floor, so the trio of April, Nathan and I went in search of Wanda in the afternoon. Before we hopped on a bus, though, we ventured over to the drug store and discovered a kite in the $0.10 bin. April claimed it and then we headed for Dartmouth. On the other side of the harbour we met with Wanda and then returned to Halifax for our routine before returning here. We ate, sat on Nathan’s bed and had some good laughs before my disciples had to leave on a bus bound for Bedford.
