Indeed. I have to be there. I missed Matt Good the last time he played in Halifax and was quite sad about it. Melissa Auf Der Maur is astounding, so I may not even remain conscious after her set.
But, but… Matt Good!! You see, I am from Vancouver. I went to MGB shows back before the rest of the country even heard of them. I need this show like I need oxygen.
I’ve been to a few Matt Good shows. My first was in 99 when he was on a bill with Big Wreck, Thrush Hermit and Collective Soul. That was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
Matt’s amazing, of course, and I’d love to see him live again. I need to see a live show of any kind. It’s been too many months.
If I was in Canada I would gladly offer.

you know the couch here is always up for grabs. But I’d be working so you’d have free range (and possibly my keys) of the apartment. Just don’t become allergic to cats again.
The key is getting there and back again, I suppose. Monday is not the best day to be returning from the city. I’ll have to ask around to see if anyone will be heading into the city that week.

Oh how I hope I’ll be able to find a way to go! It’s one of those dream shows – 500 people, a great club and 3 of the best Canadian artists to ever take the stage.
If you drive up here and get me to the city I’ll pay for your ticket.
See, the hardest part is getting a drive into the city that weekend and then back out here Monday.
Limblifter’s touring again?
Yes, and their new album is supposed to be quite good.
I’m hearing $25 for tickets. I think they’ll go on sale next week and will be at the usual Marquee selling points (the club itself, Sam’s, Neptune Theatre(?))
I think I’ll be staying at my sister’s place if I go, but thanks for the offer.
I have never taken a cab. I lived in Halifax for three years and always ended up bussing or walking everywhere. The first time will likely be that night, as I’ll most likely be staying at a place near MSVU.
