I’ve been offered a job at The Howard Johnson Hotel in the wonderful city of Halifax. My cousin is the person doing the hiring, so I’m assured of getting it if I can find a place to live in Halifax. I’ll be a night watchman / security guard / lock card swiper sort of fellow. I can start on Saturday, will be working 60 hours/wk. @$9/hour, 7p.m.-7a.m. It sounds like a very decent job, with the only downside being that I’ll not be able to talk with some people much, since they’re usually available at night. However, this means I’ll be making decent money and able to afford to have a phone bill that reflects that.

good luck with your job procuring/living arrangements! :hugs:
Thanks! *hugs* One really great thing about the job is that, as long as I don’t work the night of the wedding, I’ll be almost sure of flying to Texas in March.
march is now my favourite month.
All because of little ‘ole me? *blushes*
I really hope so too. It’ll be a fairly easy job with good pay and hours I can live with (no waking up early in the morning, and I’ll be able to live on coffee).
Oh, you’re one of the folks I’ll be calling, for sure. It’s been too long since I heard your wonderful accent. Depending on my work hours and duties, I might eventually get something that I can use AIM on at work… a Palm device like the one I have now, but with wireless internet access perhaps.
All of this is wishful thinking if I can not find a place to live, though. I’m hoping to be able to find something in the next couple days.
And, then maybe you’ll be able to convince my parents that you can come here but with that schedule you likely won’t have time off to see me. π Knowing them they probably wouldnt even let me go there alone. Everyone is against me or doesn’t trust me.
I hate it so much.
I love you Apollo, congratulations. I hope you’ll be able to officailly get the job.
I certainly hope your parents will be able to change their opinion about me. It’s so frustrating that they have misconceptions about me.
I love you Ashley. Thanks for wishing me well.
Living on coffee is also a grind. Ok, that’s a bad pun.
I’m definitely a night person.
I like your accent. It’s very endearing.
Palm devices are computers. Most of the newer ones can run various chat programs. Mine was one model too early to be able to so I’d need a new one. π
Well, wish me plenty of luck in finding a place!
oh, i was meaning to ask you if your phone number has changed what with all the moving about you’ve been doing, you restless wanderer you. π we need to talk again soon…the apollo circle of communication is longing for contact! π
My number right now is 902-568-2825. As soon as I get back to the city I’ll be reachable on my cell phone at 902-830-9415. I am certainly longing for communication. It’d make me a delerious saviour to receive a phone call someday.
a delerious saviour you shall be then…soon.
Hurray!
