The apartment is located at 8 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd., in a building called The Briches. It’s in a mostly quiet, peaceful neighbourhood and is within a couple minutes’ walk of a convenience store, bus stops, a Scotiabank, and some other conveniences. It’s also about a 5-10 minute walk from Halifax Shopping Center, the Mumford bus terminal and a Sobeys. It’s really quite a nice location.
It’s a one bedroom apartment, with a spacious living room, ample closet and storage space and a moderate sized kitchen. Hardwood floors are throughout, except for in the kitchen and washroom. The apartment is very well lit by natural light during the day and remains quiet at all hours (It has two walls facing outside, one along the stairwell and another facing a hallway and a quiet neighbour). There are a washer and dryer located in the building.
Rent is $630 / month and includes both heat and hot water. Electricity use shouldn’t add much more; the most I ever paid was $30 / month when I was using A/C daily.
