The holiday week was busy, so I didn’t have a lot of time for the fediverse, but did share a few things.

I just received my PDF copy of Chuck, a solo journaling game I’ve been looking forward to playing.

The physical game won’t ship until late this year, but I’ll probably pick a meeple to use for my first playthrough until the real Chuck arrives.

A section of the game Chuck showing a woman sleeping on a silica packet. Text of an introduction is below explaining the game is a solo journaling game about having a shrunken romantic partner.

Celestine and I had a full day yesterday. At Pier 21 we participated in building a mosaic from Lego, built a Lego football jersey Celestine could take home, and did some crafts. After that, we took in a parade, visited Citadel Hill, had a picnic in the commons, visited the natural history museum, and visited the riding school and equine therapy centre, where she loved interacting with the horses.

I was very happy to wake up to a new Ian Penn song. “I’m Always Hungover When I’m With You” has enough pop sensibilities to get its hooks into my brain and stays true to his alt-folk craft.I’m looking forward to hearing his new album, Lipstick Traces, in full in a few weeks.
