Saturday night I had a bit of time to play through the third First Light quest in HeroQuest. This time I played with only the standees for the monsters, aside from a dragon that appeared. The standees aren’t bad, but I do like miniatures a bit more.

My heroes made it out by the skin of their teeth but scrounged up enough gold to get Cloudcry, the barbarian, a helmet to protect his head in the next adventure.

I’ve had StreetPass running in my browsers for a while and today decided to look through what it has collected as I browsed about the web.

I already followed most of the accounts it picked up on, but there were a few I was able to add to spice up my timeline.

Dolly Parton’s music was around when I was growing up, but her cover of Collective Soul’s “Shine” was the first song that made me take a particular interest in her and her music.

Years later, I was enthralled by the Dolly Parton’s America podcast.

When I started working at my current company, the first Christmas party I attended was at a dinner theatre with a Christmas play written around Dolly and her songs.

Unwoman recorded crowdsourced lyrics that reinterpreted “Jolene” as an Eldritch horror, and made a lasting impact on me.

The dinner theatre where I saw the Holly Dolly Christmas performance with my coworkers went all out for their decorations, with Dolly as the star/angel on the tree.

Within a square metre I found three beautiful mushroom types during a short walk into the woods.
