Goodmorning everyone. 🙂 I was awake early today…. before six. Strange, huh? I guess it’s because I slept in so late yesterday.
I decided to check out the second part of the Smashing Pumpkins Documentary at their website. Wow, they were truly an amazing band. It never seemed quite clear until now just how important they really are. Music would not be what it is today if they hadn’t existed, I really believe that. They’ve shaped a generation and will continue to even if everyone doesn’t recognize it.
“To feel love, to feel love around”
Music means so much. Unlike any other form of art, it can shape emotion and bring easy, knowledge, comfort, understanding, balance and reason. It’s the only reason I’m sane now. No wonder musicians have become so important in all our lives. They are what gods should be: a centering force that lets us liive happily, an expression of love and its absence, of pain and survival…. of hope
