I just had an idea. What about a thread to recomend NPR things such as CD’s, books, comics, art, beverages, clothing, midnight snacks, whatever?
Ok, I’ll start this off with a few things:
1) Gloomcookie – a nice comic that can be found at http://www.gloomcookie.com
2) Strangers In Paradies – another great comic that can be found at http://www.strangersinparadise
3) Collective Soul – my favorite band. They have a site with a great bunch of fans(Soulmates) at http://www.collectivesoul.com
4) Birch Beer – a really great pop that is similar to root beer(I have 3 empty bottles right here in front of me).
5) Charles de Lint – an astounding author who writes mostly in the urban fantasy subgenre…. He has produced great books, including the newly released Onion Girl… you can find more at http://www.charlesdelint.com
6) Matthew Sweet – a great pop-rock artist… he’s been a big influence on the music scene since his Girlfriend album and continues to make groundbreaking but mostly overlooked albums…. http://www.matthewsweet.com will lead you to his offical site
