Heart-Grove

Heart-Grove

Rest deep with in my heart, here
Where you’ll always be welcomed
Where a home for you I’ll keep
Until my arms can hold you

An open grove of protective love
In the forest of my growing heart
Softest moss for your slumbering
Soft light to show your beauty

The deep burning of my soul
Will be the fire to warm you now
And the calm breeze of my love
To bring you scents of restfullness

From all storms may branches shelter
Your sacred, perfect, glowing soul
When burning sun would sear you
May you find green shade abundant

In deepest night, moon-lit we lie
Taking comfort in the stars above
Though not as bright as the light
Leaping from our tight-locked eyes

And as we drift along to sleep
As close as my every aching thought
This circle of whitest birch
Our home beyond the waking world
