Strangers in Paradise

My walk was quite good. It became colder as it went on though. First stop was SA for the newest issue of Strangers in Paradise. Then I went to a few stores just looking around. I finally lost my will power when I got to Freak Lunchbox and had to get some candy O:-) I ended up getting a Winter Clark bar(I’d never had one before but they were really good! “Peanut butter crunch blanketed in a white chocolatey coating” yum), a bag of Goldmine(you know, those little yellow bubble gum chunks) and some cotton candy! 😀 I haven’t had any cotton candy since the summer, perhaps Natal Day? I’m saving it for later, when I need a good sugar rush. O:). Next I took a look around Little Mysteries.. couldn’t find any Charles de Lint books I don’t already have this time. Then on the way back I stopped at a magazine shop to get the latest Realms of Fantasy issue.
When got back I was able to talk to Ashley for a while before she had to leave. 😀 Then I read the new SIP issue. It was excellent. It was great to finally see Katchoo and Francine together again after the months of them not being so. Anyone who hasn’t read this yet really needs to pick it up. Terry Moore is an expert at protraying relationships that are very human and realistic while still providing an interesting, exciting and captivating story(yep, it even includes mafia and hit-woman plotlines 😉 ).
I also flipped through RoF and saw one ad that wa very interesting. It’s for Dara Joy’s novel Ritual of Proof… which is basicly a fantasy novel with a complete gender role reversal. The line that stood out was “Explore a world where it is the man who bears physical proof of his virginity”. It’s certainly an interesting concept. Has anyone read this book yet? It’s a NYTimes bestseller, so someone must be reading it.
Curently I’m watching all the Collective Souyl videos I have on CD. They have had some really great ones. She Said is my favorite… if it wasn’t for the Scream 2 scenes added it’d be amazing, it’s such a beautiful, appropriate video other than that.
That’s all for now. Goodnight
