This week I was boosting and sharing experiences I encountered outside the fediverse at a higher ratio. There’s are so many little delights that spark joy.

Now that it’s September, I decided to take a walk through the cemetery and let my little gothy heart stir a bit.

The latest episode of The Cromcast covers Clark Ashton Smith’s “Mother of Toads”.

I didn’t know the story before this so I listened to the reading that was done for The HorrorBabble Podcast.

The discussion was fascinating, as always, and continues the season-long dive into Clark Ashton Smith.

Today’s Podcastle episode is a reading of A.D. Ellicott’s “Maintenance Phase”, a sharp piece of shapeshifter speculative fiction dealing with fatphobia and eating disorders.

I’ve spent more time organizing and configuring gaming on my laptop than playing so far, but I’m happy with how Bazzite works out of the box. I have a an odd assortment of games in my PC backlog, so I don’t know where I’ll land when I have have some time for playing on here.

Play for Peace – Games for Palestine 2025 Charity Bundle is a huge collection of games and other digital things, like a tea zine, with proceeds going to UNRWA. There are some wonderful, diverse games in the bundle.

An illustration showing game consoles and controllers, alongside symbols of Palestine, including a watermelon, flowers, and playing children.
