Well, today was kinda uneventful…. I missed my physics lab…. I was just too tired.. π But I did manage to go to my Classic Lit. class π not too much Apollo content this time… It’s definitly my favorite class though. π I actually enjoy the lectures because my prof. is actually interesting and sometimes funny. π He was talking about Jerry Springer and inbreeding today…. ??? lol He reminds me of someone but I’m not sure who….
Marsha picked me up around 6 and we went to Sonya’s…. that went well… I start babysitting Julian Tuesday night. He was with his grandparents so I didn’t actually get to met the kid…. Heard stories though… I think he should be a decent kid as long as he doesn’t get into any liquids… I guess he becomes an artist when he can use those….
π Marsha had Q104 on for the drive and Energy by Collective Soul played as soon as I got in the car π made me happy. She likes their music too. I didn’t realize that until she told me. Kinda cool.
Well, I will write later…..

Are you reading The Illiad in Classic Lit? And I’ve discovered that even borining clasess can be made cool with cool profs.
No, we’re doing Aeschylus…. Did the Odyssey before….
Yeah, I just did a show on Greek Drama with Robert Fagles, the guy here at Princeton who did a recent translation of The Odyssey. (Got him to inscribe my copy and everything! Woo hoo!) And it was amazing to sit with him and hear him read from it and interpret and explain. Just incredibly powerful and vibrant stuff, after what… 3000 years?
Yeah, with the right presentation it can really come alive…the complexity of such an early work is quite impressive
It’s actually far more complex than most of what passes for literature today.
