  1. :o) i love the sword of truth series… im almost done with faith of the fallen… it took me forever to find it though. youre the only other person in LJ land with hero quest listed as an interest… i thought that was interesting and thought id say hi :o)

    1. 😀 Hey, thanks for leaving a comment. I’m quite obsessed with this series now…. I’ll have to go buy the hardcover version of Pillars of Creation on Monday… I can’t wait to start the next book… Terry Goodkind is really quite popular here so I can find his books at any bookstore, thankfully… lol Yeah, Hero Quest was always my favorite board game. 🙂 How long have you known about it? Mind if I add you to my friends list?

      1. i dont mind if you add me to your friends list. ive been playing hero quest since… early 90’s. a friend of my dads gave it to my brother, and he hand painted all the figures.. its really cool. and my junior year in high school me and 3 other friends started playing it again. its alot of fun. one of my friends turned me onto sword of truth… thats all ive read in december. i really like them. but i couldnt find faith of the fallen anywhere… here where or live, or at my grandmothers in richmond… but this weekend a local bookstore set up a goodkind display and they had it… so i went and got it. i dont feel like waiting though so i’ll probably get pillars of creation in hardback sometime next week. :o)im excited.

        1. :)ok, you’ve been added… 😉 I’ve been playing Hero Quest since it first came out. My dad gave it to me for Christmas one year… the last couple years I started playing it against my younger sister again… I wish more people played it though… have you ever seen the computer version of it? It’s an old one but follows the board game well…
My dad actually also got me into Terry Goodkind by giving me the book for Christmas the year it first came out… I was hooked, for sure. 🙂 Yeah, it’s too long to wait for paperback… damn Mr. Goodkind for writing such amazing books 😛

          1. yeah, i dont know many people that played hero quest either. a few friends from school had played it when it first came out… we have a bunch of the expansion packs, but theyre really hard to find now. i didnt know there was a computer version. have you ever heard of raymond feist? he’s a great author too… i have all of his stuff… ive re read them a million times. my dad got me into those, which is surprising because he’s not really into fantasy… but im glad he did. my name is emily by the way. my aim screen name is moonrhyder… im on pretty often if you ever want to ramble

          2. I’ve only found one expansion pack, the Barbarian one… If you have a pc then I could e-mail you the game… it’s not very big at all… I’ve heard of Feist but I have yet to read anything by him…
My dad was actually really into fantasy and sci-fi… got me into stuff like Terry Brooks and Tolkien…
My name is Apollo… sn on aim is frozentruth…. I’d love to ramble. lol

          3. have you read any of david eddings stuff? its pretty good, although somewhat generic. the first feist book is magician:apprentice. sometimes its sold with the second book, under the title magician. i love it… i have the elf quests… but its a solo quest. we never got around to playing them though. came with alot of cool figures though.. and a female elf.

          4. I read horror some…
You need to read a book called House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski… it’s the greatest book written in the past 30 years…. really well written, intelligent, thought provoking, multi-layered, just an amazing book…
actually no sci-fi…. it doesn’t really agree with me much. lol

          5. im not into sci-fi either actually. another good book to read is stephen kings, the stand. its really long. but really good. tuesdays with morrie is another good one. but its non fiction. i love to read. i find it sad that everyone doesnt feel the same way

          6. I’ve never read any Steven King… I guess he’s always seemed too commercial to me…. I’ll eventually read something… I’m such a bookworm when I have the time… I agree that everyone should love to read…. but society doesn’t value that sort of thing any more it seems.

          7. i guess stephen king is pretty commercial… but that shouldnt take away from his writing… the stand was one of his first books… i love it. i tend to be a book worm wheni have time too. sword of truth series has occupied my entire break

          8. yeah, I usually have little time to read…. Faith of the Fallen has taken me a week to get through because of everything else going on…but I keep reading it when I can…. it’s too good to leave for long
