[D][a][r][k][ness]

So the power went out again 🙁 I was talking to Nico and then suddenly the lights went out and my connetion died 🙁 Damn rain and winds! This sorta stuff isn’t supposed to happen in the city 😛 I guess it’s been an hour and a half now and it still seems like a long time before the power returns… I would read a book but I have no light for that… this screen isn’t quite bright enough for that. And the battery is at 61% already 🙁 I guess I will sleep once the battery becomes low enough… I hate going to sleep without having my alarm set but what can I do with no power? lol I doubt they would close the university tomorrow but it’s possible, I suppose… 9:30 is physics… I don’t want to get up that early.
The winds are so damn high… my window sounds like it’s about to fly loose and let therain come in. I don’t enen know if the rain is even falling right now… it is, quite heavily… The city looks so strange in a poweroutage… so very surreal… like the end of the world… optimistic thoughts, right? lol I feel really calm though… I miss Ashley most during quiet times like this… when I’m isolated from everything and all I have to do is write this… I really love her a tremendous amount… I would do absolutely anything to make her happy. Because every moment that I’m with her, every time I see her smile or she tells me that she loves me I feel so complete.. so very close to heaven… It’s still so amazing to me that I could find someone this wonderful and that she would love me this much… or even that I would love her as much as I do…
I’ve been getting some great new music this weekend… I got the new M2M CD that is only out in Japan… they are the only pop group I listen to on a regular basis… they actually write all their own songs and they are well constructed and meaningful… They’ve certainly grown on this album… as young as they are they still really talented and really put all those other boy and girl groups and solo singers to shame… better songwriting and great voices… they have done well in foreign places too… 7X plat in Thailand and multi-plat in various other countries…
I also got the new Lisa Loeb CD that is available only in Japan… (what is it with good artists releasing albums there first?)… It’s a really great CD, anyway… it’s growing on me all the time… I do think it’s much better than her first two CD’s… it doesn’t have the songs that just made me feel so much like Firecracker(How, Truthfully, Wishing Heart) but it’s really a great work… plus the songs might do better commercially(I certainly hope so because she deserves much more recognition)… All the songs are really worth a listen and each still contains that classic Lisa sound and lyrical content… but “We Could Still Belong Together” is much more of a rock song than anything she has done before… Lisa rawks! 😉
I’ve also been listening to a lot of Juliana Hatfield… she has really grown on me very much since I got her CD this week… before I knew her mostly because she had done some songs with Matthew Sweet and was on some compilations I own… She’s another great artist that I would very much recommend to anyone… she can rock it as well as anyone or write some great mellow songs…
Well, the power is back on now… such a relief… I can set my alarm now 😉
