“She Moves Me Still”

I just read the introduction to The Whalestoe Letters… I’m finding myself drawn back into House of Leaves again… Danielewski really has a remarkable ability to infuse his words with such an energy that I’ve found in only a couple other authors… His mastery of language is so profound, every word has so many connotations that he intended… the few last lines stick with me so much…

My own years intrude, though at least their color returns. Still I think of her.
Eppur si muove.
Or as I translate it: yet she moves.
And so she does. She moves me still.

“She moves me still.”
I find that one sentence so profound…. it means so much when thinking of Pelefina’s role in the entire story…
