End of the Strike?

Well, it looks like the strike may be over this week.
News Release
DATE: Tuesday, March 26, 2002
A tentative agreement has been reached by the negotiating committees for the Dalhousie Faculty Association (DFA) and the Board of Governors of Dalhousie University with the assistance of Milton Veniot, Mediator.
This agreement is subject to the approval of the Dalhousie Faculty Association Executive Committee and the approval by secret ballot of the DFA Bargaining Unit. The agreement is subject also to ratification by the Dalhousie Board of Governors.
Details of this agreement will not be made public until disclosed at a membership meeting.
Any decision as to resumption of classes depends on the outcome of the vote to be held not later than Thursday, March 28, 2002.

So I’m assuming classes will start next week as long as the vote goes well. I think it will since the profs must be as tired of all this as we are. We’d better get our month’s worth of tuition back though! Oh well, this means that I need to start doing some more serious work at catching up this week and while I’m at my parents’ place. *sigh* I’m going to be sooo unused to my old schedule!
