Tori Amos will have a new album on a new record label when she returns later this year after being dumped last year by Atlantic.
Her Epic Records debut has been given a tentative release date of September 24.
The album is being recorded in Cornwall, England with Matt Chamberlain (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam) and Robbie McIntosh (The Pretenders, Paul McCartney) as well as her longtime collaborators Jon Evans and Justin Meldal-Johnsen.
Atlantic Records, the former label for Tori now have plans to release a greatest hits album drawn from her 6 previous releases.
Thanks to the lovely folks on the CS bbs for the news.

sweet for the new album…bleh to the greatest hits…Atlantic has some nerves dumping her then still trying to make money off of her! Damn record labels…
Yeah, Atlantic has been a bitch to all their best artists… Tori, Collective Soul, Poe, Elastica… I’m glad none of them stayed with Atlantic.
