Singing the Thread

Singing The Thread

Voices and words hover and drift
Popping bubbles on fingertips
Sounds with slight echos match our thoughts
An emerging song’s first heard notes

A familiar and unknown name
Voiced emotions seep out quickly
Silence pushed aside for first truths
Reflected back with clarity

Voices now weaving together
Into a moving, pulsing cord
Blue and green, twisting and melting
A thread of inate compassion

The air between rippled with heat
Light breifly hitting a clear strand
Encircling for a moment
What we both feel is pulling us

Words flow freely from soul to soul
Causing roots to lengthen and hold
Onto the rich soil of like hearts
Drawing more strength from souls to grow

One forever-thread floating still
On the breeze of sunset and noise
Moves freely to the first goodbye
A promise of each new first light
