A: Sea-Monkeys are a hybrid version of Brine Shrimp(Artemia Salina) called Artemia Nyos*. They where invented in 1960 by Harold von Braunhut and were first sold in the back of comic books. They are in ‘Suspended Animation’ until they are added to the purified water, where they hatch alive and swim around their aquarium.
