HALIFAX — A heavy snowfall and wind warnings have been issued for much of Nova Scotia as a nor’easter approaches the province.
Rain is forecast to begin this afternoon and will be mixed with snow inland.
Temperatures across the province will drop overnight.
Strong winds gusting to 80 km/h are also expected.
Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm and as much as 20 cm of snow could fall.
Coastal flooding is also a possibility especially along the South Shore.
