On the way out the door I checked on the mail and found that my Matthew Sweet CD also arrived today(I got the LP in the morning). I started reading the liner notes while I waited for the bus. It’s quite interesting to read about his early history. The Girlfriend era demos are the highlight for me. Overall a great overview of his pre-Girlfriend work and his evolution as an aritist.
After that I came home and talked to Ashley for a short while before she had to leave. I’ll miss her a lot in the next couple days, I know.
After that I played some NES with Nathan. I’m addicted to the baseball game I have for it.
Then I was online for a little while before going to Nathan’s room. He was about to record some stuff for a song so I listened some and eventually suggested some lyrics. “Cheese Pizza” is the song title and it’s a fun love song with a great metaphor.
Now to clean my room and listen to To Understand: The Early Recordings of Matthew Sweet
