K-OS and Suzuki Announce “Concert For Peace”
Rapper K-OS has teamed up with legendary Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki to present an anti-war concert in Ottawa timed to coincide with the Juno Awards. “People say, ‘What the hell are you doing as an environmentalist getting involved in an issue of peace?’,” Suzuki told MuchNews. ” Peace is an environmental issue. War is itself an ecological and social disaster.” Called simply “The Concert For Peace”, the event’s lineup includes KOS, Ron Sexsmith, Sam Roberts, Rascalz, Buck 65, Brassmunk, Broken Social Scene and Stars. More performers are expected to be added to the bill. The Concert For Peace takes place on April 5th at Barrymore’s.
