Wow, the Canadian dollar is nearing 0.72 US. In general it’s bad for the economy to have such a valuable currency, but when it comes to buying CD’s, books and other items from the US, it sure helps the average online Canadian consumer. Interest rates may lower(read here), and consumer confidence here is up too(read here). Those articles are actually interesting reads, believe it or not.

Perhaps I will invest in some new books this summer since my money will go a bit farther.

Among the Canadians who switched over to a hockey game after becoming bored with a recent televised debate among contenders to be the country’s next prime minister was Canada’s current prime minister.

“I watched the TV. Sometimes I switched to the hockey and came back. You know, I’m like any other citizen,” Prime Minister Jean Chretien told reporters Tuesday, prompting someone to ask whether it had been boring.

I love Chretien! šŸ˜‰ Oh how I wish he’d remain Prime Minister rather than allowing the lesser politicians to fight to take his role.

In real life, I worked in the dampness. I did a lot of edging for the beds and was kept company by my MD music.
