My September – April roommate Nathan and I are trying to come up with the lyrics to “Kiev Trains” by Strawberry right now and are drawing a blank for the second part where Deidre is mumbling. I don’t know if any of you have it by chance but if you do and can fill in the rest it would help us sing it. Nathan has learned to play the guitar part so far. It’s a beautiful song, so check it out if ever you can!
Are you happy yet? Broken?
Here, have a subway token.
I’ll meet you underground
Lifetime of working in uranium
Don’t smile without your teeth in
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you underground
Kiev Trains
Rolling by again, again
I’ll meet you on the way down
Here, have a subway token.
I’ll meet you underground
Lifetime of working in uranium
Don’t smile without your teeth in
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you on the way down
I’ll meet you underground
Kiev Trains
Rolling by again, again
I’ll meet you on the way down
With grasps at aspirations
You let everybody down
All these complications
For an empty glass of love
