A Return To Social Commentary: America and Israel vs. The Arab World

Tensions are heating up with Iran and Syria. My roommate and I predicted the next expansions of the empire would be there, and things certainly look like they’re heating up for Bush War III in 2004, just in time to secure him another term if spin can be used to his advantage again. When the evils start losing a war then it’s time to start another, right? This time Israel may play a role in the action, or be the leader of the march, as they have been striking civilians in Syria already. It doesn’t take much to see where all this is headed. The empire must expand before we look too close at the details.

Bush’s support rating is falling steadily, and that is obviously a great sign for those of us with any sort of compassion. In the time since the war on the Iraqi People began many months ago there have been many tragedies for both sides of this most terrible of injustices. Now there are finally terrorist organizations in Iraq, all thanks to American Occupation. Afganistan’s Taliban are strengthening. America is making the Middle East the most volitile it has been in centuries. Yes, there are small pockets of good arising from the wars, but the bad far out weighs the good.

Now is the time to mobilize against these seeds of war and put an end to Empire America and Israel’s expansion and abuse of its neighbours. We could not stop the attack on Iraq and Afganistan, but lets not make it three in a row. It’s empire toppling time!
